Fishing, Dudley Wines
Boys tried out their fishing skills this morning but unfortunately no fish for tea tonight 🎣 Kaye & I stayed in the vans this morning as it was our first quite cold morning.
After their fishing expedition we drove along the scenic way to Dudley Wines. Explored the other side of the river where we could see our camp, also discovered an old well & a large animal trap which we didn’t really want to know what it was for.
On to Dudley Wines - the views were amazing everywhere you looked! The deck was huge but settled for inside as it was a little cool. After a small wine tasting Kaye & I settled for their Bubbly Dudley for the day & ordered a grazing platter to share for starters. We then ordered a few pizzas - garlic prawns & smoked salmon 🍕 we all agreed they were the best pizzas we had ever had!! After all the food & wines we finished out on the deck & met some people from SA who shouted us a bowl of honey popcorn which was very nice to finish off the day.
We spent all afternoon there & collected fire wood on the way home. Great fire, no tea, too full, but sat around the fire until the rain set in & sent us inside. A group of about 12 young kids arrived & were going to celebrate an 18th! They chopped down a tree & had a raging fire in the camp ⛺️ we were hoping it was going to pour so we couldn’t hear them & they would go to bed but as luck had it it didn’t rain. As I was writing my blog it started to pelt down with rain ☔️ We were moving camp in the morning so weren’t around for their big celebration 🎉
